Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion For Birth Workers

This course encompasses what you must know to be an empathetic and inclusive birth expert.

A comprehensive overview of history’s impact on current disparities in birth outcomes ensures birth workers understand the differences in care the families they serve might receive. This course also equips you with the knowledge and resources to help the people you serve have positive and empowering birth and postpartum experiences despite increased risks of disparities.

This course includes the erasure of Black and Indigenous Midwifery Care, history of disability discrimination, biases in care, and more. Many people contributed to this course because we can and should learn directly from lived experience experts and not hearsay.
